Legendary trader and Bitcoin proponent, Peter Brandt says if the current patterns in the cryptocurrency space persist, then, the next peak in the bull market cycle should occur in late August to early September, 2025. He shared the prediction on X while analyzing his thoughts on the “beautiful symmetry” of past Bitcoin bull cycles.
Brandt’s Symmetry of Past Bitcoin Cycles
Notably, Brandt sees a consistent pattern with near-perfect alignment between past BTC Halving dates and bull market cycles. Based on this, he insists that if the trend holds, Bitcoin could reach a high between $130,000 and $150,000 in the upcoming bull market cycle.
According to him, “The number of weeks from the start of each bull market cycle (the low following a 75%-plus decline) to the Halving dates has been almost equal to the number of weeks from the Halving dates to the subsequent bull market highs.”
The legendary trader maintains that Bitcoin halvings have played pivotal roles in past BTC bull market cycles. The quadrennial event where mining rewards gets halved based on the Bitcoin protocol occurred on April 20, 2024.
Brandt believes that the chart’s “X” marks the probable high date and price level. This date falls around August/September 2025.
Analysts Remain Bullish on BTC
The trader explained that although the analysis was not the only possible interpretation to the chart, it is the primary outlook. He opines that there is a 25% chance that BTC has already peaked for this cycle. Brandt, known for his bold statement, recently predicted a 344% surge of Bitcoin over gold.
Other notable analysts have also issued their unique Bitcoin price predictions. Bernstein analysts are bullish on not just Bitcoin but Ethereum as well. The analysts in a recent research reported by Crypto-Vanguard, made a forecast that Bitcoin will hit $90,000 this year and the market could grow to a staggering $450 billion.
As per CoinMarketCap data, Bitcoin is up 2.53% at $69,160.00. That is, the digital asset needs to gain over $20,000 to attain Bernstein’s prediction and $60,000 to $80,000 for Brandt’s projections.
